“What Really Motivates Us to Get Up Every Morning?”

Hey there, it’s me—Coach Glenda Driver!
Let’s get real for a minute. Some mornings, the alarm goes off and we feel ready to conquer the world. Other mornings… not so much. So, what really motivates us to get up every morning?
It’s not just about coffee or a to-do list—it’s about something deeper, something that fuels your soul. It’s about your why—your purpose, your passion, and that quiet voice reminding you that you were created for more.

“When you open your eyes each morning, you’re given another chance to RESET, RECONNECT, and RISE.”
— Coach Glenda Driver

Let’s start with the truth: Motivation doesn’t always come naturally. Some days you feel unstoppable; others you feel like hiding under the covers. But here’s the secret—motivation isn’t about feeling ready; it’s about creating readiness through clarity, intention, and connection.

RESET — The Power of the Pause

Before we rise, we reset. That means taking a moment to breathe, to release yesterday’s weight, and to ask, “What do I need today?”
When I was going through one of the hardest seasons in my life, I learned that pausing wasn’t giving up—it was preparing for my comeback. RESET gives you space to rest, realign, and refocus on what matters most.

Try this morning ritual:

  1. Sit quietly for one minute.
  2. Inhale peace, exhale pressure.
  3. Whisper: “Today, I choose progress over perfection.”

RECONNECT — Aligning with What Matters

Once you’ve reset, it’s time to reconnect—with yourself, your values, and your purpose.
Ask yourself: What gives me joy? What am I grateful for? What can I do today that honors who I’m becoming?
These small reflections are like emotional fuel—they remind you why you started this journey in the first place.

For me, reconnecting meant tuning in to my own voice again after years of putting others first. When I reconnected with my truth, I found energy and motivation I didn’t even know I had.

RISE — Living from Wholeness

And then comes the rise—the moment you stand in your strength, even if your knees are still shaking. RISING isn’t about being perfect; it’s about showing up.
Every time you get up when it’s easier to stay down, you build confidence. You rewrite your story. You become proof that healing and hope can coexist.

Remember: your motivation grows stronger every time you take one small, brave step toward your wholeness.

Here’s how to bring this lesson to life in your everyday world using the RISE AGAIN WOMAN Method:

  1. RESET: Begin each morning by grounding yourself. Use a gratitude or reflection journal. Ask, “What’s one thing I can control today?”
  2. RECONNECT: Midday, check in with your emotions. Are you aligned with your priorities or reacting from stress? Choose reconnection over reactivity.
  3. RISE: End your day with celebration. Note one thing you did that moved you closer to peace, love, or confidence.

With practice, these steps become your roadmap to thriving—not just surviving. In 90 days or less, you can rebuild your motivation, confidence, and sense of purpose.

Closing

So… what really motivates us to get up every morning?
It’s not obligation—it’s opportunity.
Opportunity to start again, to breathe again, to love again, and to RISE AGAIN.

Stay encouraged, stay grounded, and remember—your next level begins every morning you choose you.
